Jarelsberg, Onion and Apple canapes

INGREDIENTS
- 1 tbs butter
- 1 medium onion, cut into fourths and sliced
- 4 oz thinly sliced Jarelsberg or Swiss Cheese
- 16 slices of pumpernickel Cocktail Bread
- 1 Tbs Dijon-Mayonnaise Blend or Dijon Mustard
- 1-2 Tbs chopped chives
- 1 Medium apple, unpeeled and thinly sliced
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 400.
- Cook the onion in the butter for 4-6 minutes.
- Cut the cheese to fit the bread.
- Spread each slice of bread with the Dijon-Mayonnaise blend.
- Top each with some onion, apple and cheese.
- Sprinkle with some chopped chives.
- Place on a jelly roll pan and bake for about 5 minutes.
