Kalbi Ribs or Korean Short Ribs

INGREDIENTS

- 3# Korean cut beef ribs
- 50ml soy sauce
- 50g brown sugar
- 50ml mirin
- 50ml water
- 1 tbs sesame oil
- 1 asian pear (peeled and deseeded)
- 10 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 white onion (240g)
- 50ml maple syrup
DIRECTIONS
- Soak the beef ribs in water for about 10 mins.
- Combine all ingredients except for the beef in a blender and blend into a liquid marinade.
- Drain the beef and combine with the marinade in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for about 12 and up to 24 hours.
- In a hot skillet, sear each side for 3-4 mins or place on sheet tray with a sheet rack and roast in a 425 degree oven for 15 mins.
