Karen's Chocolate Chocolate Chip Brownies
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 cups chocolate chips, divided
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla
  • 1 ¼ cups flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  1. Preheat to 350 degrees – grease 9” pan.
  2. Put ¾ cup sugar, stick of butter, and milk into microwave safe mixing bowl – microwave until butter is warm enough to melt.
  3. Remove from microwave and stir in 1 cup of chocolate chips and vanilla, stir until chips melt. Let mixture cool 10 minutes. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
  4. Stir together dry ingredients and mix thoroughly by hand. Fold in remaining 1 cup chips.
  5. Pour into prepared 9" square pan.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes and take them OUT of the oven (they will be fudgey in the middle and cake-like along the edges, but not dry!)
This recipe is from my childhood friend Karen. She says the lacrosse team goes wild for them! These are yummy, gooey but firm, for devoted chocoholics only.
