Kentucky Jam Cake

- 2 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup crushed pineapple
- 1 cup Jam
- 1 cup apple butter
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. coco
- 1 cup nuts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- ICING
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup cream
- 2 cup powdered sugar
DIRECTIONS
- Mix butter & sugar together with mixer. Add eggs one at a time while mixing. Add the pineapple, jam & apple butter. Add the dry ingredients slowly while mixing. Add the buttermilk in between. Always start with flour and end with flour. Pour mixture into 4 8" pans. Bake for 35 mins. @ 325*
- ICING
- Boil first 4 ingredients for 4 mins. Add powdered sugar, mix well and quickly spread over cooled cake.
