Knot Cookie
  • 1 1/2 cups of wine wine
  • 1 1/2 cups of vegetable oil
  • 6 cups of flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder.
  • 2 tbps of black pepper
  1. Heat both wine and vegetable oil until lukewarm.
  2. Mix flour, salt, baking powder and black pepper in a bowl.
  3. Add the wine and oil mixture to the four mixture roll into long 1/4 inch tubes, twist around your finger and knot.
  4. Bake at 400 until gloden brown don't grease the pan.
Great small "cookie", family favorite. Careful these don't last long. Just like peanuts, cant eat just one or two.
