INGREDIENTS
  • 3 pkgs dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1t sugar
  • 1 c butter
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 3/4 c. milk
  • 7 1/4 c. Flour
  • 3 t. salt
  • Topping:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 c Flour
  • 1/2 t. cinnamon
  • 2 T melted butter
DIRECTIONS
  1. Dissolve yeast in 1/2 c warm water sprinkle w/ 1t sugar and set aside.
  2. In large bowl, cream sugar and butter, add egg yolks and salt, mixwell add dissolved yeast and 1 c. flour mix well add milk and slowly add remaining flour. Knead to make a moderately soft dough. continue kneading till smooth & elastic place dough in a greased bowl, Turn dough once to grease surface cover and let rise. Punch down pinch off egg size portions & will roll into ball. place 1inch apart on greased pans, brush with melted butter. Cover & let rise bake at 425 for 10-15 minutes brush with melted butter, sprinkle with crumbled topping.
