Kraunt Pork Chops

INGREDIENTS
  • 6 pork chops, 1" thick
  • 1 can sauerkraut
  • 1 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green bellpepper
  • 1 apple, pared, cored, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 potato, pared & grated or diced
DIRECTIONS
  1. Combine the sauerkraut, onion, apple, brown sugar and potato in deep casserole.
  2. Cut some of fat from edge of chops.
  3. Some people like the fat.
  4. Dip in seasoned flour.
  5. Brown lightly.
  6. Place on top of kraut mixture.
  7. Cover.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 1-1/4 hours.
  9. Can be cooked in Dutch oven on top of stove too.
