Lasagna

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 32 oz jar of spaghetti sauce
  • 32 ounces cottage cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1/2 cup water
  • salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat brown the ground beef
  2. Drain the grease
  3. Add spaghetti sauce, let simmer for 5 minutes
  4. In a large bowl mix together cottage cheese, mozzarella, eggs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt and pepper
  5. In the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish, evenly spread 3/4 cup of the cheese mixture
  6. cover with 3 uncooked lasagna noodles, 1 3/4 cup of mixture, and 1/4 cup sauce
  7. repeat layers twice more
  8. top layer add remaining sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan
  9. Add 1/2 cup of water to the edge of the pan
  10. cover with aluminum foil
  11. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 45 mins
  12. Uncover and bake a additional 10 minutes
  13. Let is stand for 5 once finished
RECIPE BACKSTORY
Lasagna gives the normal spaghetti flavor a little more to it. This is also really easy if you have a big family.
