Lavender Simple Syrup

  • Servings: Makes 2 cups
  • Preparation Time: 5 Minutes
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried (or fresh) lavender buds
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  1. Combine the water, sugar and lavender buds in a small pot on the stove top.
  2. Simmer on medium heat for about 10 minutes, or until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  3. Use a fine mesh strainer to remove the buds from the syrup.
  4. This will be slightly thicker and more concentrated than the regular 1 part sugar/1 part water method.
  5. You can keep this syrup at room temperature in aseled container for several weeks.
  6. Use this to sweeten coffee, tea, or other beverages.
