Lebanese Hummus
  • 14.5oz can chickpeas/garbanzo beans, drained
  • 2 rounded tablespoons tahini sesame paste
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 2-4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander (optional)
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • Coarse salt
  • Coarse pepper
  • Pita bread
  1. Combine beans, tahini, pepper flakes, cumin, coriander, garlic, salt, and lemon juice in food processor bowl and grind into a smooth paste. Add oil slowly- to taste. Transfer to a small dip dish and surround spread with warm pita wedges.
  2. To make creamier, add more tahini and oil
