Lebanese Hummus
INGREDIENTS
- 14.5oz can chickpeas/garbanzo beans, drained
- 2 rounded tablespoons tahini sesame paste
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2-4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander (optional)
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- Coarse salt
- Coarse pepper
- Pita bread
DIRECTIONS
- Combine beans, tahini, pepper flakes, cumin, coriander, garlic, salt, and lemon juice in food processor bowl and grind into a smooth paste. Add oil slowly- to taste. Transfer to a small dip dish and surround spread with warm pita wedges.
- To make creamier, add more tahini and oil
