Lichtenstein Casserole

INGREDIENTS
- 4 lbs beef cut into 1 inch cubes
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 2 onions sliced
- 1 lb mushrooms sliced
- ¼ cup flour
- ½ cup dry red wine
- 1 can onion soup (I use Lipton’s Onion Soup mix)
- ½ cup water. (I use one cup because of the dry soup mix)
- Pepper and garlic to taste.
DIRECTIONS
- Sauté beef in butter. Add onions and mushrooms sauté. Sprinkle with flour.
- Stir in wine, soup, and water.
- Bake at 325º covered for 1 ½ - 3 hours.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
