Linguini with White Clam Sauce

INGREDIENTS
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 3 cans chopped clams (6 1/2 ounces each) drained
  • 3/4 cup clam juice reserved from the canned clams
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley (flat parsley if possible)
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
DIRECTIONS
  1. Sautee garlic quickly in olive oil, add clams, sautee for 3 minutes. Add rest of ingredients. Cook covered low heat for 10 minutes. Serve over linguini. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Enough sauce for 1/2 pound to 3/4 pound pasta.
