Make Ahead spectacular Overnight Slaw
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 medium cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup sliced pimento stuffed olives
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1 t. celery seeds
  • 1 t. mustard seeds
  • 2 t. Dijon mustard
DIRECTIONS
  1. Combine the first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Stir well. Combine sugar and remaining 6 ingredients in a small pan. Bring to a boil. Boil 1 minute. Pour over cabbage mixture; toss well. Cover and chill 8 hours. Toss well. Makes 12 servings. This slaw is true to it's name! Chilling the slaw overnight allows the flavors to blend, resulting in a taste sensation.
