Maple Glazed Apple Cookies

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar, Packed
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Coriander
  • 1/4 tsp Allspice
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 2 cups Fresh Apples, Chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Butter, Melted
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Apple Flavoring
  • 2 Tbsp Milk
DIRECTIONS
  1. Oven Temperature: 400°F
  2. *Mix butter and sugar until creamy and then add salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, coriander, allspice, and egg; blend well
  3. *Stir in flour with baking soda and milk until well blended; stir in the apples
  4. *Drop by small spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet; bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes, or until cookies are firm when touched, but not overly brown
  5. *Meanwhile, stir together butter, powdered sugar, maple flavoring, and milk to make a smooth glaze
  6. *Dot the top of each cookie with about 1/2 tsp of glaze; let cool
  7. *Allow glaze to set before storing in an airtight container
