Maple Muffins

  • 1 cup quick cooking rolled oats
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup margarine, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 egg
DIRECTIONS
  1. Combine oats and milk and let stand 5 minutes.
  2. Add syrup, margarine, egg and mix well.
  3. Add remaining ingredients, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
  4. Fill paper lined muffin tins 2/3 full.
  5. Bake 400F for 15 to 20 minutes. Serve warm
