Mexican Flan
  • 6 Large Eggs
  • 2 cans Condensed Milk
  • 1 Can Whole or 2% Milk (use the condensed milk can to measure)
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Heat the sugar in a small sauce pan. On medium high heat. Stir constantly until caramel is formed. Pour immediatley into round baking dish (9x2) and Swirl caramel around until the bottom of the pan is covered.
  2. In a seperate bowl, beat eggs, milk, and vanilla. Pour into pan w/ caramel. place pan in a waterbath ( a larger pan filled with 1 inch boiling water). cover tightly. Let bake in the oven for approximatley 1 and a half hours. Remove from oven and let cool about half an hour. Invert Flan onto serving platter & Enjoy :)
This recipe was passed on to my mom from one of my aunts. Its one of my favorite desserts.
