Microwave Caramel Corn
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp margarine
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 4 quarts popped popcorn
  1. Put brown sugar, corn syrup, salt & margarine in a
  2. microwave safe dish. Cook on high power for 3 minutes, stirring after each minute. Add baking soda, blending well (will foam).
  3. Place popped corn into a brown grocery bag. Pour caramel mixture over popcorn. Shake contents until coated well. Place bag into the microwave & cook for 1 minute. Spread caramel corn out on a wax paper lined cookie sheet to cool.
