Mom's Raisin Pie
  • 1 c raisins water
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 T flour
  • 1 c thick cream
  • 1/2 t vanilla
  1. Cover raisins with water and cook until water is gone.
  2. Mix sugar with flour and stir into the raisins.
  3. Add 1 generous cup of thick cream and vanilla. Cook until it thickens and put into a two-crust pie.
  4. Bake at 425* for 10 minutes, then at 350* for 35-45 minutes.
This recipe my Grandfather used to make for us when we came to visit. Lola Simmons’(a friend of the family) mother was ‘Mom’ in Cheyenne, OK 1929 I like this pie and I am not too fond of Raisin's.
