Moselle Punch
  • Cooking Time: 1 hour to stand
  • Servings: 20-30
  • 6 oranges, sliced very thin
  • 1 cup finely granulated sugar
  • 2 bottles Moselle or other dry white wine
  • 1 large block of ice
  • 3 bottles champagne, chilled
  1. Place orange slices in bowl and sprinkle with sugar.
  2. Pour 1 bottle wine over fruit and let it stand for one hour or more.
  3. Place ice in punch bowl.
  4. Pour fruit and wine mixture over ice.
  5. Add remaining Moselle and champagne.
This is a nice, easy punch, about 20-30 servings. The recipe comes from the New York Times.
