Mrs. Kawasaki's shoyu chicken

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/2 c flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1T milk
  • 1 package panko crumbs
  • sauce
  • 1/2 c soy sauce
  • 2/3 c sugar
  • 1/4 c sake
  • ½ c water
DIRECTIONS
  1. dredge chicken in flour
  2. beat eggs with milk
  3. toss wings in egg mixture
  4. coat wings with panko
  5. place on baking sheet and bake at 350 for 40 minutes
  6. combine sauce ingredients and bring to boil, then simmer for about 10 minutes
  7. toss wings with sauce and serve immediately

Mrs. Kawasaki made this version of asian chicken wings, that is different from the usual ones because of the panko on them - not usually found on chicken wings.
