Mulled Wine
CATEGORIES
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 litre red wine (if you pick a good one it's always nicer but you don't have to go too pricey)
  • 10 fl oz ginger ale
  • 10 fl oz strained tea
  • 1 clementine with 10 cloves stuck into it
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 tsp mixed spice
  • 4 oz brown sugar
  • Good quality orange juice (amount depends on how weak or strong you want the wine)
  • 1 glass either whiskey, rum or brandy (again your choice or whatever you have on hand)
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a saucepan add the wine, ginger ale, tea, clementine, brown sugar, spices and cinnamon. Let the mixture heat up a bit then add the orange juice, heat the mixture for about half an hour but don't let it boil.
  2. Before you are ready to serve your drink add the glass of whiskey or whatever you chose, you can even add a bit more if you like.
  3. Then gather with friends and family and enjoy.
