Mushroom Rolls
  • Cooking Time: 10
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 pound of mushrooms, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of butter or margarine
  • Cook this all together till onions are soft and clear. Then add mix well and cool.
  • 8-oz cream cheese in pieces
  • 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Pinch of garlic powder
  1. White bread and butter for brushing on the bread
  2. Remove the crusts from the bread and roll each slice using a rolling pin to flatten.
  3. Spread each slice of flattened bread with the cooled mushrom mixture.
  4. Roll up jelly roll fashion.
  5. Brush with melted butter and bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes.
  6. To serve cut each roll into 2-3 pieces and you can secure with a toothpick if needed.
  7. Makes about 4 dozen.
  8. Can be frozen unbaked. ~Janie
