Mushrooms with Tofu
  • 1 pound firm tofu drained, dried and cut in squares
  • some cornstarch
  • enough olive oil for frying and sauteing
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup of mushrooms sliced
  • 4 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • bunch cilantro chopped
  1. Toss tofu with some cornstarch.
  2. In pan heat oil till hot.
  3. Tofu should sizzle when first added to pan and fry tofu in oil until golden.
  4. In separate pan saute onion, garlic and mushrooms in oil then add soy sauce and add golden tofu and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  5. Garnish with cilantro.
