My Famous Cheesy Macaroni
INGREDIENTS
  • Servings: 3-4
  • 500g Macaroni (or any other pasta, as preferred)
  • 3 Tb of powdered chicken stock
  • 1 tp of salt
  • 4 Tb of Butter
  • 2 Tb of Plain Flour
  • 2 Cups of warm Milk (I prefer full cream, but you can substitute)
  • 1 1/2 Cups of Grated Cheese (I use Chedder)
  • 2 TB of Cream Cheese
DIRECTIONS
  1. Cook the pasta as directed on the back of the packet - but add the powdered chicken stock and salt to the water before you add the pasta. Make sure it smells rich - add more if required.
  2. Meanwhile - melt the butter in a pan. When melted, stir in the flour until it forms a paste. Add the warm milk, and stir until combined. Add the grated cheese and continue stirring until the cheese has melted and a thick sauce has formed - this should be thinck enough to "glob" off the spoon.
  3. The pasta should be cooked now - drain the pasta, and stir in the white cheesy sauce and the cream cheese.
  4. Put in bowls, top with extra grated cheese, and serve!
  5. This serves between 3-4 people, depending on how hungry you are.

I get cravings for cheesy macaroni - really bad. This is something I threw together one day for some friends, and they fell in love.
