My favorite meatloaf

  • 1 to 1-1/2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1- 8oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1-medium onion chopped up
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1 egg, slightly beat up
  • 1 tsp prepared mustard
  • dash cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 tsp salt1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4+ cup ketchup
  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers, crushed.
  1. Preheat oven to 350%
  2. Mix all ingredients together add meat and saltine crackers last. Use your hands to mix everything together well and to shape loaf in pan.
  3. I use a regular flat baking sheet lined with greased aluminum foil to make the fat drip out instead of absorbing into the loaf.
I have been making this Meatloaf so long I can't remember where it came from. It is easy and a favorite of my sons.
