Nancy's Simple Chocolate Truffles
  • Servings: 2 dozen truffles
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 - 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 5 oz. unsweetened chocolate
  • Assorted toppings: cocoa, powdered sugar, crushed nuts, etc.
  1. Mix the powdered sugar into the softened cream cheese a little at a time, making sure it is well blended after every addition.
  2. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and add it to the cream cheese mixture along with the vanilla. Mix well. Chill for a couple of hours.
  3. Roll mix into 1" balls, then roll them in a topping. Chill
  4. TIPS: Try substituting the liqueur of your choice for the vanilla.
