Nancy's Toffee
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 lg. Hershey chocolate bar grated
- (optional 1 tbsp. corn syrup and 1 tsp. vanilla)
DIRECTIONS
- Make 2 9x14 pans out of aluminum foil.
- Cook in heavy frying pan: butter and sugar, stir constantly until golden brown = 10 minutes. Work quickly.
- Pour into one pan. Sprinkle 1/2 of the choc. on top and spread with knife. Sprinkle 1/2 of the nuts.
- Lay second piece of foil over top and flip over. Repeat chocolate and nuts.
- Takes 1 hour to set up. Pound with knife handle to break up.
