No Peek Chicken with Rice
  • 1-1/2 cups raw rice
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 package dry onion soup mix
  • Chicken pieces
  1. ~ I usually use chicken breasts without bone and cut them in half lengthwise.
  2. Mix cream of celery soup, cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth and raw rice together in bowl.
  3. Pour mixture into lightly greased 9x13 inch baking pan.
  4. Place chicken over rice mixture.
  5. Scatter mushrooms over chicken and rice mixture. Sprinkle with dry onion soup mix, paprika and pepper.
  6. I usually dont salt because the chicken broth is salty.
  7. Cover 9x13 inch pan with aluminum foil.
  8. Bake at 350° for 2 hours. Do not peek!
  9. Makes the house smell good and is really rummy.
  10. Pork chops may be prepared the same way and are delicious, also.
