Nut Pastries

- Nut Pastries:
- 1 lb. Cream cheese
- 1 lb. Margarine
- 4 cups sifted flour
- 1/2- cup sugar
- 1 Tsp. Salt
- Nut Filling:
- 4-6 cups chopped nuts (I use walnuts)
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon
- Approximately 1/2-cup milk (until spread able)
DIRECTIONS
- Divide the dough into four sections.
- Roll out thin, one roll at a time, on floured surface (like pie dough) cut into small squares. Spread each square with filling and roll up.
- Place on greased cookie sheet.
- Bake 350-degrees for 25 minutes until golden.
RECIPE BACKSTORY
Years ago I found a square single ravioli cutter with a fancy serrated edge. I cut the squares and fold them in half bringing the right bottom and left top corners to the center and holding together with a toothpick. They look nice and are so delicious.
These pastries do freeze well.
