OVEN SWISS STEAK
INGREDIENTS

- 2 to 3 lbs. boneless round steak
- !/4 C. oil
- salt
- pepper
- 4 T. flour
- 2 T. flour
- 1 ( 16oz.) can diced tomatoes
- 1/2 C. chopped carrots
- 1/2 C. chopped celery
- 1/2 C. chopped onions
- 1/2 t. soy sauce
DIRECTIONS
- Pound steak, cut into serving size pieces.
- Combine flour, salt and pepper.
- Dredge meat in mixture.
- Brown in hot oil in large skillet.
- Remove from skillet and place in lightly greased 13x9x2 inch baking dish; sit aside.
- Add 2 T. flour to pan drippings; cook over med. heat 1 min., stirring constantly.
- Add tomatoes, celery, carrots and onions.
- Cook until thick stirring constantly.
- Stir in soy sauce.
- Pour over steak.
- Cover and bake at 350'F for 1 hr.15 min. or until steak is tender.
