Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies (second lab)

  • Preparation Time: 15 min
  • 1 stick butter (softened)
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. oats
  • 1 c. chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS
  1. 1.) Preheat oven 350 degrees + cover baking sheet in foil.
  2. 2.) In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter and sugars until creamy.
  3. 3.)Add in egg and vanilla and beat well.
  4. 4.) In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
  5. 5.) Gradually add in dry ingredient mixture to the creamy mixture by beating together.
  6. 6.) Add in oats and mix well with a rubber spatula.

these cookies are to die for. they just melt in your mouth with the chocolate and they are light as well they aren't heavy or dense so they sit well too
