Oatmeal Scotchies

INGREDIENTS
  • 1-1/4 c. flour
  • 1 t. baking soda
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. cinnamon
  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 3 c. oats
  • 2 c. (12oz) butterscotch morsels
DIRECTIONS
  1. Combine flur, baking soda, salt & cinnamon in small bowl.
  2. Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy.
  3. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
  4. Stir in oats and morsels.
  5. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking
  6. sheets.
  7. Bake @ 375 degrees for 7-8 minutes, for chewy cookies. 9-10 minutes for crispy cookies.
  8. Let stand 2 minutes; remove to wire
  9. rack to cool completely.
  10. BAR VARIATION:
  11. Prepare dogh as above. Spread dough into
  12. greased 15 x 10 inch jelly roll pan. Bake
  13. at 375 degrees for 18 -22 minutes or until
  14. lightly brown. Cool completely in pan on rack.
