Oatmeal Scotchies
INGREDIENTS
- 1-1/4 c. flour
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/2 t. cinnamon
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 t. vanilla
- 3 c. oats
- 2 c. (12oz) butterscotch morsels
DIRECTIONS
- Combine flur, baking soda, salt & cinnamon in small bowl.
- Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy.
- Gradually beat in flour mixture.
- Stir in oats and morsels.
- Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking
- sheets.
- Bake @ 375 degrees for 7-8 minutes, for chewy cookies. 9-10 minutes for crispy cookies.
- Let stand 2 minutes; remove to wire
- rack to cool completely.
- BAR VARIATION:
- Prepare dogh as above. Spread dough into
- greased 15 x 10 inch jelly roll pan. Bake
- at 375 degrees for 18 -22 minutes or until
- lightly brown. Cool completely in pan on rack.
