Old Dutch Caramel Corn

  • 8 oz bag of Corn Curls (or use a bag of Puff Corn)
  • 1/2 lb butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup light Karo syrup
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  1. Place corn curls in a large roaster pan. In a 2-qt saucepan, heat together for 2 minutes the butter, brown sugar, and Karo. Add 1 tsp baking soda to the mixture (this will cause it to foam). Pour this mixture over the Corn Curls and stir until mixed. Place in 250° oven for 45 minutes. Stir at least every 10-15 minutes. Remove and pour on wax paper to cool and break apart.
