Oldtime Country Spread
  • 1 large cream cheese (reg or light)
  • 1 small Spanish onion
  • 1 pkg chipped beef
  • chopped nut or herbs (opional)
  1. Let cream cheese soften slight til workable.
  2. Finely chop onion and chipped beef.
  3. Blend with cream cheese.
  4. Roll in nuts or herbs.
  5. Refridgerate for 6 hours to 24 hours.
  6. Serve with crackers
This recipe has been made in my family for the 50 years I can remember. Every generation loves it. The ingredients might not sound like much but together they work. So many people tell me that there grandmother used to make it and they haven't had it in years. I guarantee you there'll be none left at any function you bring it to!
