Orange Cake
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 tsp fresh grated orange zest
  1. Preheat an oven to 350°F
  2. Lightly grease an 16"-diameter cake pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder and sugar to combine.
  4. Set aside.
  5. In an electric mixer or food processor, combine butter, orange zest, eggs and orange juice and beat until combined; mixture should be slightly pale and fluffier, with evenly distributed zest.
  6. Add milk and mix to combine.
  7. Add flour mixture to egg mixture and mix until just combined.
  8. Pour into prepared cake pan.
  9. Bake for approximately 35 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Transfer to a wire rack to cool for fifteen minutes.
  11. Remove cake from pan and transfer to platter.
