Over Night Thick French Toast

  • 8 Large Eggs
  • 1 Loaf of Hearty French Bread
  • 3 Cups Milk
  • 4 Tsp Sugar
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Cinnamon
DIRECTIONS
  1. Slice bread 1" thick
  2. Mix eggs, milk, sugar, salt and vanilla in large bowl. Butter 13" x9" pan
  3. Arrange Bread in pan
  4. Fill in all the open spots, so cut smaller pieces if you need to
  5. Pour egg mixture over bread
  6. Cover and refriderate over night
  7. Preheat oven at 350 in the morning
  8. Cut 2 tbsp butter in small pieces and scatter on top of bread
  9. lightly sprinkle with cinnamon
  10. Bake 45 minutes
RECIPE BACKSTORY
I don't remember where I found this base recipe, but I like to do it with 2 sliced stuffed with creamcheese ...not that it makes it better for you, but its YUMMY!
