• 1 lb. oyster crackers
  • 1 c. canola oil
  • 1 tsp. dried dill
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 (1 oz.) package Hidden Valley ranch dressing mix
  1. Mix the dry ingredients with the oil, then pour over crackers, stirring to coat.
  2. Leave on the counter and stir every 15 minutes for one hour, then store in airtight container. I have never refrigerated it and the oil has never gone rancid.
I placed this in the Christmas category. Actually, it's good all year 'round, but I usually only end up making it at Christmas. I like it because, unlike many other snack mixes, it doesn't require baking. I've been making this for years.
