• 4 or 5 lb. short cut spare ribs
  • 2 well beaten eggs
  • 1 tsp. Chinese allspice
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. MSG or Accent
  • 1/4 cup Chinese wine or Scotch (optional-I don't use it)
  • Mix above together and marinate for at least 2 hours. Preferably overnight.
  • Mix
  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • 2 cup flour
  1. Coat the ribs well in the crumb and flour mixture.
  2. Cook in peanut oil at 400 or vegetable oil at 350 degrees for 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. **I usually make more than the 4 or 5 pounds as they freeze very well.
  4. You can reheat in the oven at 350ยบ.
  5. They are very good with fried rice, chow mein, chop suey or beef and greens.

This is a local delicacy in our Chinese Restaurants. A man called Pang owned his own place and invented these. The recipe has spread to all the Chinese restaurants in the city and we have many.
