  • Preparation Time: 10
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup Hellmann's Flavours Garden Herb Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 4 medium tomatoes
  1. In the container of a blender or food processor, combine the mayonnaise, Parmesan, chopped onion and garlic.
  2. Blend until the mixture is creamy but still retains a bit of texture.
  3. Cut the tomatoes in half crosswise, making sure that each half will sit flat on a baking sheet, cut side up.
  4. If necessary, you can take a thin slice off the bottom so that it doesn't wobble.
  5. Scoop out a little bit of the inside of the tomato, then top with about 1 tbsp. (15 mL) of the mayonnaise mixture, spreading it to cover the cut side.
  6. Place tomatoes under a preheated broiler - about 4 inches (10 cm) from the element.
  7. Broil until topping mixture is nicely browned and bubbling - about 5 minutes.
  8. Make this when tomatoes are in season and exploding with flavour.
  9. It's the perfect side dish to serve with grilled chicken or fish.
