PHILLY CHEESESTEAK HOAGIE

  • 2-2 ½ lbs. beef round steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 green peppers, sliced thin or 1 green and 1 red
  • 2 onions, sliced thin
  • 1c. beef stock
  • 2 t. garlic salt
  • 1 t. pepper
  • 1 t. dry Italian salad dressing mix
  • 6 Provolone cheese slices
  • 6 GF hoagie buns
DIRECTIONS
  1. Spray crock pot with cooking spray or use liner. Cut meat into very thin strips (freeze beef for 1 hour before slicing to make it easier). Place meat in slow cooker. Add green pepper, onion, stock, garlic salt, pepper, and Italian dressing mix. Cover and cook on low 7-8 hours or on high 3-4 hours. Before serving, toast buns lightly. Spoon meat and veggies onto buns, top with provolone cheese. Broil for a minute or two to toast the sandwich and melt the cheese. Serve immediately.
