Peach Cobbler Cake

  • 29 oz. can sliced peaches or 30 oz. frozen sugared peaches
  • GGFG Goodies yellow cake mix (or mix of your choice)
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
  1. Butter a 9"X13" baking pan. Pour peaches into pan with syrup, spreading evenly in pan. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over peaches. Cut butter into 16 slices and place evenly over cake mix. Sprinkle with brown sugar and nuts. Bake in an oven preheated to 350F for 45 minutes. Best served warm topped with ice cream.
Sometimes unexpected guests arrive and I want to serve dessert and coffee. These ingredients are always on hand, so this is a very tasty dessert than comes out of oven in under an hour.
