Peach Cobbler

  • 1 quart of peaches (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of butter cubed
  • 1 Tbsp of cornstarch
  • 1 tsp of fruit fresh
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1/2 cup of Crisco
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 cup of ice water
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix peaches, cinnamon, egg, sugars, butter(cut in cubes), cornstarch and fruit fresh in a large bowl. Let sit while making cobbler dough. Mix flour, Crisco and salt until crumbly, add ice water until mixed. Roll out dough on floured surface to fit a 10x8 baking pan. Fill baking pan with peach mix. Decorate top with remaining dough. Bake for 15 minutes at 400 degrees, reduce oven to 350 and bake for 45 minutes.
