Pecan Pie

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 T. flour
  • 1/4 stick melted butter
  • 3/4+ cup pecans, roughly chopped
  • 9" pie shell (frozen)
  • pecan halves for decorating top of pie
  1. beat eggs, syrup, sugar, flour, butter, and vanilla - blend well
  2. mix in the chopped pecans
  3. pour mixture into pie shell
  4. decorate top of pie with pecan halves
  5. bake 45 minutes at 350
  6. let set
  7. *Note - I enjoy an extra nutty pecan pie so I usually add almost a full cup of chopped pecans to the mixture. The additional pecans usually cause the filling to overflow slightly when baking, giving the crust a little sweet crispiness. For easy clean up bake pie on cookie sheet.
