Pecan Pie
INGREDIENTS

- 3 eggs
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 T. flour
- 1/4 stick melted butter
- 3/4+ cup pecans, roughly chopped
- 9" pie shell (frozen)
- pecan halves for decorating top of pie
DIRECTIONS
- beat eggs, syrup, sugar, flour, butter, and vanilla - blend well
- mix in the chopped pecans
- pour mixture into pie shell
- decorate top of pie with pecan halves
- bake 45 minutes at 350
- let set
- *Note - I enjoy an extra nutty pecan pie so I usually add almost a full cup of chopped pecans to the mixture. The additional pecans usually cause the filling to overflow slightly when baking, giving the crust a little sweet crispiness. For easy clean up bake pie on cookie sheet.
