Pecan Pie
INGREDIENTS
- Cooking Time: 50
- 1 stick real butter (no margarine)
- 3 large eggs
- 1 Cup white Karo syrup
- 1 Cup sugar
- 1 Cup pecans halves
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Pinch of salt
DIRECTIONS
- Brown butter over medium heat (this is the secret of this pie).
- Beat eggs well and add other ingredients. Mix well. Add pecans and pour into pastry shell.
- Bake 10 minutes at 425 degrees. Reduce heat to 325-350 degrees and bake 40 minutes more.
- Makes 1 pie
