Pork Chops in Gingerale
INGREDIENTS
- 1 large onions sliced
- 1/4 c. butter; divided
- 4 to 6 pork chops approx. 1" thick
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 c. ginger ale
- salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
- Melt half of the butter in a skillet over medium heat; add onions; saute until lightly browned. Remove onions to a 2 qt. baking dish.
- In the same skillet, brown the pork chops in remaining butter.
- Place chops over onions in the baking dish. Sprinkle with brown subar.
- Blend ketchup with flour to form a paste; add ginger ale; stir well.
- Pour ginger ale mixture over the pork chops; sprinkle with salt and pepper if desired.
- Bake in a 350 oven for about 1 hour or until pork chops are tender.
