Porkchops With Apple Raisin Dressing

  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1 green bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 rib celery (chopped)
  • 3 c. cubed rye bread
  • 1 red apples (chopped)
  • 1 green apple chopped
  • 1 c. shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 tsp chicken bouillon powder
  • 1/4 c. hot water
  • 6 pork chops (about 1 inch)
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Combine onion, celery, bread, apples, 3/4 cup cheese, raisins and eggs.
  3. Dissolve bouillon cube; add to mixture.
  4. Blend well.
  5. Put mixture into greased roasting pan.
  6. Trim fat from pork.
  7. Place in pan on top of mixture.
  8. Bake 35 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup cheese over chops and bake 10 minutes until chops are cooked through.
