Potato & Ham Chowder
  • 2 Tbsp Butter Or Margarine
  • 1 lb Red Or Thin-Skinned Potatoes, Cut In Chunks
  • 1 cup Onion
  • 5 cup Milk
  • 3 Tbsp Flour
  • 8 oz Fully Cooked Ham, Cut In Chunks
  1. *Melt butter in 3 qt pot over medium heat; stir in potatoes and onion; cover and cook about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally (potatoes will be almost tender)
  2. *Whisk 1/2 cup milk with flour until smooth; stir in potatoes with remaining milk and ham
  3. *Bring to a boil over med-high heat, stirring often
  4. *Reduce heat to med-low heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes
