Potato Ham Soup

INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups Ham, cubed
- 1 cup Bacon, in pieces
- 2 cups potatoes, peeled and diced
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup Chopped onion
- 1 cup Celery
- 1/2 t. Pepper
- 1 t. Salt
- 10 T. Flour
- 3 cups Milk
- 4 T. Butter, melted
- 1/2 cup Chicken broth
- shredded cheese - Optional
DIRECTIONS
- Combine potatoes, onion, bacon, celery, pepper, and salt in large pot. Cook until desired tenderness. In seperate bowl, mix flour and 1 cup milk, blend well.
- Add flour/milk mixture, butter, chicken broth, ham, bacon, and remaining milk to your potato mixture.
- Simmer on med. heat for about 20 min. or until heated thru and thickened. Cooling soup will help thicken.
- Optional: Top with shredded cheese.
