Ranch-Style Lentil Casserole

  • 2 c. lentils, washed
  • 1 qt. water
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 1 c. ketchup
  • 1 (1 3/8 oz.) pkg. onion soup mix
  • 1 tsp. cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. water
DIRECTIONS
  1. Combine lentils and 1 qt. water in saucepan. Cook, uncovered, over med. heat 30 min.
  2. Brown beef in oil. Stir in lentils and remaining ingredients. Pour into 2 1/2 qt. casserole. Bake, uncovered, in 400ยบ oven 30 min.
