Red Cabbage Slaw

INGREDIENTS
- 1 small shredded red cabbage
- 1 small chopped onion
- 2 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup white vinegar
DIRECTIONS
- Mix cabbage, onion and salt in glass or metal mixing bowl (not plastic).
- In a small saucepan, mix oil, sugar and vinegar. Bring to a boil.
- Pour mixture over cabbage -- do not stir.Let cabbage cool for 15 minutes.
- Cover and place in refrigerator for several hours or overnight
